Also, I am a very up-front person, I don't hide behind a facade...What you see/what I tell you about me *is* what you get...
Maybe my honesty is a bit off-putting...but I'd rather deal with people who are for real, than people who put up a fake front.

Not at *all* into NASCAR, sports of any kind (well, I *occasionally* watch hockey, and the World Cup), don't do church, don't want to hear about your kids/ grandkids (I wouldn't make you listen to stories of my various critters).
Not into "hen parties", don't believe in gossip.

I too have been through some stuff in my life, even a divorce, but I don't hate men, as so many women of a certain age seem to.
My husband is my best friend, I wouldn't have married him if he wasn't...

I haven't watched regular network TV in probably 15-20 years..
I watch AMC, TCM (old B & W movies)...
The Discovery, National Geographic, History channels...as well as LOGO, LinkTV, and FoodTV.

Am a book-a-holic...mostly non-fiction (no Oprah's book club or Nora Roberts stuff).
Love flea markets, antique stores, rummaging through thrift stores to see what treasures might be there.

I fish.
(from shore/ riverbanks mostly...we don't have a boat)

One more thing...I'm not a "foofy" gal...
I don't "do" my hair or have my nails professionally done, I'm very plain...
If that's what someone want's to do, that's cool...it's just not me/ my style.
I'm past the point of trying to impress people at my age!
